We've all seen the commercials for Small Business Saturday.  Tomorrow, we're encouraged to visit our neighborhood shops that sometimes get over shadowed by the large big-name stores.  Because it's Black Friday, the chains are doing a booming business and you're probably getting some good deals.

But what I love about tomorrow is that visiting the small shops helps me figure out what to gift the people in my life who are a little harder to shop for.  Browsing specialty stores are great ways to get inspired.  You might see something and then remember that your relative collects those things, or has an upcoming trip that would be perfect for.  You might stumble upon something made by a local artisan and think it looks custom-made for someone in your life.

In New Jersey there are all kinds of "Mom and Pop" shops that will be open for Small Business Saturday.  Among the gifts you will find:  candy, coffee, tea, scones, olive oils, antiques, Irish and Italian specialty items, surf items, beach-themed home decor, and unique gifts from talented artists.
