We are just a few weeks from the unofficial start (Memorial Day Weekend) of summer here at the Jersey Shore, and it's always a time when everyone is listening to Dan Zarrow's weather forecast and hoping for a beautiful summer.

So now the big question is what kind of summer will we have in New Jersey? Will there be sun or rain? Will we feel the heat, or will it be comfy? All these weather questions will be asked as folks try to plan their upcoming summer.

What are forecasters predicting for summer 2025 in New Jersey? A recent article published by Patch tried to answer these questions. "A three-month outlook from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center calls for above-average temperatures across the country from June through August, with pockets of extreme heat in the desert Southwest and parts of the Northeast."

 

3 Latest Summer Forecasts For New Jersey

  • NOAA forecasters: New Jersey has a "40 to 50 percent chance of above-average temperatures this summer. The state also has a slight chance of seeing above-average precipitation."
  • The Old Farmer’s Almanac: "Calls for hot and dry conditions this summer in New Jersey."
  • The Farmers’ Almanac: "Calls for “broiling” temperatures this summer in New Jersey, as well as average precipitation."
