We hear this all the time, we shouldn't be surprised by now. This popular chain has begun closing restaurants throughout the United States and will continue to close more this month.

Hooters announced this week, over 30 company-owned locations from dozens of states are closing, according to usatoday.com.

Hooters, if you're not familiar with it, is known for being a sports bar and for having great wings. It's also known for their "Hooters Girls"

Buyer group member Neil Kiefer, who is the CEO of the original Hooters restaurant, according to usatoday.com: "With over 30 years of hands-on experience across the Hooters ecosystem, we have a profound understanding of our customers and what it takes to not only meet, but consistently exceed their expectations."

Over 30 Hooters Locations Shut Down Across the U.S.

The company recently wrote on their website after filing bankruptcy earlier this year, "Hooters is here to stay." Seems like this is changed in the last couple of weeks.

Is New Jersey Next on the Hooters Closure List?

Hooters has four locations in New Jersey - Atlantic City, Somerset, East Brunswick and Flemington. No locations are closing in New Jersey, at this time.

There is one located in King of Prussia Pennsylvania. There are no Hooters restaurants in New York.

States Hit Hardest by the Recent Hooters Closures

The question was asked on the Hooters website, is Hooters going out of business and the company says "no". So we will have to see.
