A Holmdel man is brought to the hospital after accidentally cutting his leg with a saw while doing landscaping work on Tuesday afternoon around 1:35 pm.

Holmdel Police responded to a first aid call on Falcons Ridge Circle for a lacerated leg this afternoon and found a 52 year old male had accidentally cut his leg with a saw.

The laceration was severe and the man was bleeding heavily due to an arterial bleed.

Both responding officers immediately applied a tourniquet to the leg to control the bleeding and applied trauma dressings to the wound.

They were able to stop the bleeding before Monoc Paramedics and Holmdel First Aid arrived on the scene.

The victim was stabilized and immediately transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center.
