Hersheypark is Re-Opening on July 3rd

One of America's oldest theme parks, Hersheypark in Hershey, PA, will be re-opening for season pass holders on July 1 & 2 and to the general public on July 3.

Like many other theme parks throughout the world, Hersheypark is putting in place new safety regulations to help reduce the risk of spreading the COVID-19 novel coronavirus.

According to hersheypark.com...

• Hersheypark will manage park capacity by using a reservation system.
• All employees and guests over the age of 2 will be required to wear facemasks.
• Guests will have their temperatures taken upon arrival and anyone with a temperature above 100.4 Fahrenheit will not be allowed admission.

Hersheypark also says that it will enforce social distancing guidelines and that some rides that don't have space for adequate social distancing may be closed.

Here's how Hersheypark's reservation system works:  1) Guests will need to purchase an annual pass, summer pass, or single-day ticket.  2) After purchasing tickets, guests can enter their Ticket Visual ID online to see what reservation dates are available.  3) Once reservations are confirmed, guests can modify or cancel reservations online.

When Hersheypark re-opens in July, it will debut a brand new section of the park called Chocolatetown.

Chocolatetown will be home to a new rollercoaster called Candymonium.

Hersheypark says that Candymonium is not only the park's 15th coaster, but also the "tallest, fastest, longest, and sweetest."
