This had a lot of people scratching their heads, including me. Why would this lower parking lot be for sale in Bayville, NJ?

This is the parking lot in front of Central Middle School, right off of the Berkeley exit on the Garden State Parkway.

I understand that maybe bathrooms and another convenience store might be good because of easy access on and off the Parkway. This is just so strange to me, though.

I was totally wrong and this is what Dr. Parlapanides explained all about the parking lot  for sale in a Facebook post:

Just to clear up any questions. There is a minimum bid. With the revenue, a 200 spot parking lot will be built on the Kraig Estate. These spots will be used in the summer and weekends for Veteran Park concerts and events. During the school year it will become the new junior parking. Another 100 spots will be added behind the Home Football Bleachers for handicapped parking, graduation, and games. The developer must have the approval of both Berkeley Council and Central Board of Education. both parties have worked hard and have a tremendous concept. It will benefit students and the community. The best part it is private money being used. Please be patient we are still waiting on a few items. Thank you. Dr. Parlapanides

Thank you Dr. P. for clearing it up for us.
