More than a year after washing ashore at a marine in Highlands, the remains of a young man have yet to be identified. Investigators hope that the release of a composite sketch will jog someone's memory.

The body surfaced at the Gateway Marina on December 30, 2013, according to information from the office of Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni.

Authorities describe a white man in his 20s. Forensic tests determined that the victim is not of American Indian, Japanese, Chinese or Guatemalan extractions, authorities said.

County and New Jersey State Police investigators have found no DNA matches in the FBI's Combined DNA Index System (CODIS), and authorities say that no missing persons report matching the victim's description are on file.

The composite sketch by a NJSPD forensic artists suggests how the man might have appeared at the time of his death. Officials said that facial aspects, hair length and skin tone might vary.

Any information related to the case can be phoned to Detective Andrea Tozzi in the Monmouth Prosecutor's Office, 800-533-7443, or NJSPD Detective Steve Urbanski, 609-882-2000, extension 2554.
