ATLANTIC CITY — Police are still looking for a suspect wanted in the fatal hit-and-run of a 37-year-old city woman last Thursday.

Amy Smith was struck by a car about 6:52 p.m. on Route 40 near the Bayview Motel.

Prosecutors say the car was being driven by Carlos Ignacio Prada Arriaga, 27, of Pleasantville. But police a week later still have not been able to locate him.

He has been charged with second-degree leaving the scene of a fatal accident and the third-degree crime of being an unlicensed driver involved in a fatal accident.

Prosecutors say Arriaga was last seen with Alejandra “Sandra” Rivera, whose photo they released to the public. Rivera was not identified as a suspect.
