Help Break a Guinness World Record in LBI
The LBI Sea Glass & Art Festival is this weekend in Ship Bottom.
Help break the Guinness World Record in Conch Horn Blowing. In 2012 LBI set a record and this year they're looking to do it again. Who knew this was a Guinness World Record, but you can be a part of it.
Here's how:
It's Saturday, October 5th, 2019.
WHERE: Things A Drift, 406 Long Beach Blvd., Ship Bottom, Long Beach Island
Registration is FREE.
Registration is 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm and the attempted Guinness World Record will begin at 3:45 pm. The event runs from 3:45 pm - 4:15 pm.
Participants will receive a certificate.
Guinness World Record Official Rules must be followed to avoid disqualification, and are as follows:
• All participants must register.
• Participants must use only the Queen Conch (Lobatus gigas).
• Only registered participants with a Queen Conch are permitted inside the secured official Guinness World Record attempt area.
• Only participants seen blowing the Queen Conch in the official photo and video will be counted for the Guinness World Record.
This year, we will also attempt to add to the Guinness World Record by playing a short six-note tune. Free lessons will be available all day. Bring your own Queen Conch (Lobatus gigas), purchase or rent one at Things A Drift (I.D. required for rental).
