Sunday, June 14th is the 245th birthday of the U.S. Army, and there are a lot of ways to celebrate and honor our heroes in uniform.

On Friday, the U.S. Army held a virtual cake cutting ceremony not just to celebrate their birthday, but to congratulate, honor, and thank the soldiers across the nation for reenlisting.

On Sunday at 11:30 a.m., you can watch a virtual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetary. This special event will honor the service and sacrifice of our fallen service members and the legacy they left behind and you can watch it here beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Plus, beginning Sunday at 7 p.m., senior Army leaders will hold a virtual tribute to America.  Everyone encouraged to tune-in at 7 p.m. on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube, and to watch with their families.

Speakers include Secretary of the Army, Ryan D. McCarthy; Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. James C. McConville; and Sgt. Maj. of the Army, Michael A. Grinston.

Called “The Army at 245: A Tribute to America,” the virtual program replaces large regional and local birthday tributes that could not safely be executed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
