The organization is ready to start construction on their 23rd home.  The location is Ocean Acres in Stafford Township.  There are several requirements you have to meet and the program is far from a charity offering.  The plan allows you to purchase a home through them directly with a no interest loan.  There are income eligibility requirements that will be discussed in detail at the upcoming session.

Sue Fitler is Vice President of Habitat for Humanity of Southern Ocean County.  She is also in charge of the Family Selection Committee.  Fitler says "we are offering this to a family who needs a place to live and would like a chance to help in building their own home.  It could be a variety of things from helping to the actual construction to office work."

The meeting is mandatory for anyone interested.  The session takes place Tuesday, October 16th at 7 p.m. in the Southern Regional Middle School Cafeteria on Cedar Bridge Road in Manahawkin.
