According to police, the two Jackson Memorial High Schoolers were engaged in conversation this morning on the bus, when one suddenly yelled, "Gun!" Another teen boy yelled that someone on board was armed. The driver stopped the vehicle and called for help.

Police responded at about 7:05 AM, cleared the bus and searched it for weapons, finding none. They determined that no students were subjected to threats.

The two boys were taken into custody and turned over to their families. School Resource officer Colin Menafra is conducting followup investigations.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
