Grenade discovered in Lakewood apartment

A grenade was found in a Lakewood apartment recently vacated by a tenant, according to authorities. 

Management of the complex at 150 Kennedy Boulevard found the grenade Monday afternoon, according to the Asbury Park Press.

A bomb squad from the New Jersey State Police responded and determined the grenade was not active, and was only for show.
