If you’ve recently purchased a Granitestone sauté pan set from Walmart or Costco in New Jersey, it’s important to check your cookware.

A recall has been announced for the Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue stainless steel sauté pan 2-piece set, which includes one 10-inch pan and one 11.5-inch pan. The affected set can be identified by the UPC number 0-80313-08131-6.

The issue involves the metal cap attached to the handle assembly, which has reportedly detached from the pan during use. This creates a serious kitchen hazard because the piece can suddenly pop off while cooking, potentially causing both impact-related and burn injuries.

Reason for the Recall

According to the recall notice, there have already been at least 98 reported incidents involving the metal cap coming loose and ejecting from the sauté pans. In one case, a customer reportedly suffered bruising along with burn injuries, raising concerns about the safety of continued use.

Where Were They Sold?

These pans were sold in Costco stores and online through costco.com, walmart.com, and amazon.com, making this a widespread recall that could affect many households across New Jersey and beyond.

Here's What You Should Do If You Purchased One of These Recently

Anyone who owns this pan set should stop using it immediately. Consumers are being told to contact E Mishan to begin the refund process or call (212) 689-9094. The company is offering a full refund, and customers will be required to return the recalled sauté pans.

This is one of those recalls worth taking seriously, especially for anyone who uses these pans regularly for family meals. A simple check of your cookware today could help prevent an unexpected kitchen injury tomorrow.
