Gloucester County home repair contractor sought on theft charges in Long Beach

A home improvement contractor from Gloucester County, who allegedly skipped out of a job in Long Beach Township with a $4,700 deposit in hand, is the object of a search by police.

Authorities said that Ihab Waked, whose last known address is in Turnersville, represented Exterior Boss, which is listed as a roofing, siding and sheet metal company in the same community.

Long Beach police said that they were notified in January of this year, of the transaction for window and roof replacement that allegedly took place in October 2016.

The client told police that no work was done since the money changed hands. Investigators developed sufficiend information to obtain an arrest warrant, on a charge of theft by failure to make required disposition of property received.

Long Beach police did not disclose whether Waked is registered with the State of New Jersey, nor did they disclose any details regarding documents associated with the transaction.
