FUN! Try a Scavenger Hunt Here in Ocean County, New Jersey 👀

It’s a time of year, winter, when we are all getting a bit of cabin fever because it’s WINTER lol Not a lot to do outdoors, unless you don’t mind the cold. I stumbled across a fun thing with a group I follow NJSpots.

This fun outdoors group always has cool things going on around the Garden State and things we can all enjoy and/or get involved with. In this case, they have come up with “scavenger hunts” for every county here in New Jersey.

Obviously I decided to start with Ocean County, but there are cool ones for Burlington and Monmouth Counties also. Basically it’s a “photo” scavenger hunt and you can just do it on your own and get a cool keepsake for completing.

When you go on their SITE just click on the county you want to do and they will give you several local locations that you must then travel to and collect your photos. I’ll be honest it took us couple hours with all the traveling because they were spread out throughout the county.

We had fun and got a sense of accomplishment. Some of the locations we knew and some were a first time visit. It was cold this particular day with snow squalls and frigid wind chills with all the wind we encountered but a fun thing to do in winter.
