Four Ocean Township residents tied to rash of car burglaries
Ocean Township Police have arrested a quartet of suspects linked to car burglaries that took place earlier this month.
Rodson Fortune, 21, Justin Pierre, 18, Edens Sylveus, 19, and a juvenile from Neptune Township were found with evidence of the burglaries inside their vehicle at a traffic stop tying them to burglaries in both Ocean and Neptune.
Ocean Township Police responded to the area of Shadow Lawn Drive around 4:00 am on September 9 in reference to a suspicious person.
Officers then found a motor vehicle in the area and a traffic stop was conducted.
During the course of the motor vehicle stop an investigation was conducted and evidence of multiple car burglaries was located inside the accused vehicle.
The subjects were placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing.
The accused were charged with several vehicle burglaries in Ocean Township, as well as two other vehicle burglaries which occurred in Neptune Township.
The four suspects were charged with burglary, possession of burglar tools, receiving stolen property and narcotics offenses.
