Four Days Of Explosions On The Way From The Joint Base

As Ocean County residents know very well, having the largest military base in New Jersey can get noisy at times, so it's always appreciated when base officials give us the heads up about upcoming exercises!

The Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst crew will be blowing things up starting tomorrow, Thursday, April 12th, and running through Sunday, April 15th.

According to the base it's going to be a pretty big exercise, involving Army, Marine, and Air Force troops, and will include artillery, mortars, and demolition training.

it's also always worth remembering that the weather can impact how far the noise travels. Overcast days will carry the sounds further.
