BRICK — An Ocean County man has a plethora of charges pending against him after he allegedly broke into multiple businesses in the township, according to the Brick Township Police Department.

Ryan Dautorio, 30, of Forked River was observed running from the scene of an attempted burglary at Added Touch Florist on 1021 Cedar Bridge Avenue at 9:30 pm on Friday, May 21st, 2020.

Police have been on high alert in that particular area of the township because of recent "smash-and-grab" burglaries to local businesses on the block. As officers were setting up surveillance of the area, a burglary call came in from Added Touch Florist.

Dautorio was seen running from the scene and ran into a nearby apartment. Officers did not arrest him at this and conducted an investigation of the burglary at the business.

A K-9 officer conducted a track search that led from the florist to the apartment occupied by Dautorio.

Dautorio was arrested and charged with four counts of Burglary, three counts of theft, and four counts of Criminal Mischief.

The charges include two additional burglary incidents at Country Sudster Car Wash and Mr. Tire.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Dautorio was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
