Food Emporium Signs Lease For the Former Stop & Shop Location in Point Pleasant Beach
It appears that the former Stop & Shop at 505 Richmond Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach has a new tenant.

According to a recent article from NJ.com, it appears that Food Emporium will be moving into the former Stop & Shop location on Richmond Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach.
The Point Pleasant Beach Stop & Shop on Richmond Avenue closed in 2024.
Moving in will be the Food Emporium. If you've ever shopped at The Food Emporium, you're visiting a grocery brand with a long history. Its story began more than a century ago as a small New York dairy business selling everyday essentials. As the company grew, it evolved into a supermarket chain and launched the Food Emporium name in the late 1970s.
The stores became known for offering a mix of everyday groceries and specialty and gourmet foods, making them a popular choice for shoppers seeking something a little different.
Over the years, The Food Emporium expanded around the New York metro area and became a familiar name for generations of customers.
Now Food Emporium looks to move to the Jersey Shore. According to NJ.com, "Mayor Doug Vitale announced on Facebook Thursday that The Food Emporium had signed a lease for the property, marking a significant step toward filling the vacant site at 505 Richmond Ave. “An opening date has not yet been announced, but I will share that information with residents as soon as it becomes available,” Vitale wrote."
More details should become available in future reports.
