A tragic four-car domino effect crash in Manchester Township that claimed the life of a Toms River man on Tuesday between Route 571 and Whitesville Road is under further investigation, announced Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer.

There have been no charges filed at this point following the preliminary portion of the investigation run by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Vehicular Homicide Unit, Manchester Police, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit.

It was Tuesday morning shortly after 7:00 am when Danielle Bowker, 30, of Toms River was driving west on Route 571 in a 2018 Honda Civic when investigators said she failed to maintain her lane while driving through a right-hand curve in the road.

As a result of not staying in her lane, Bowker's vehicle struck a New Jersey Department of Transportation Ford F-550 pickup truck driven by Eduardo Rivera, 30, of Hamilton Township who was heading eastbound at the time on Route 571.

As a result of that collision, Rivera's pickup truck lost direction control, investigators said, and it hit a 2012 Toyota Camry driven by Michael Sadis, 48, of Toms River which forced Sadis off the road and into an embankment.

Rivera's pickup truck kept in that same lane of travel and hit a 2015 Toyota Corolla driven by Paul Lambert, 58, of Toms River.
