Fantastic New Restaurant “Sad Boyz” Open in New Gretna, NJ
If you live in Southern Ocean County or Burlington County and you are heading to work down Route 9, maybe on the way to the Garden State Parkway, one stop you want to make is breakfast or lunch at the new Sad Boyz.
There is no shortage of "pork roll" at Sad Boyz (Co-owners Patrick Spagnola and Jonah Goff) have several menu items that are perfect for that pork roll lover.
They have several breakfast sandwiches that have a healthy helping of pork roll including "the Alexander". This sandwich is definitely for pork roll lovers in south Jersey. "The Alexander" is a quad-decker pork roll and cheese sandwich, yes "quad". They also have the "FML" bacon, pork roll, egg, cheese, and a hashbrown on it.
Another sandwich is the "FAFO" which is bacon and cheese between two hash browns on a kaiser or bagel. This sandwich was dedicated in honor of Kyle Gormley.
Personally, something that I was very curious about was their signature "cold brew" coffee. Sad Boyz has a bar with taps featuring nitro cold brew and sweet tea. In fact, they are a big coffee stop for folks on the way to work along Route 9, with various coffee drinks available for those needing that morning coffee.
I had the nitro cold brew and it was amazing, of course, I enjoyed my cold brew simple "black with no room" but you can get various combinations to create your favorite cold brew blend. If iced tea is your favorite they have their own sweet tea recipe on tap too.
So next time you are in Southern Ocean County or Burlington County swing into Sad Boyz, you can even order ahead and pick up on the go. Turns out that years ago the building was a small bank and the old drive-thru teller window area is now the pick-up window.
By the way, I tried the Santa Fe'gg which is egg, pepper & onions, pepper jack cheese with Sad Boyz signature sauce, delicious. Eat and Shop Local!
