Eyes in the Sky for the Brick Twp. Police Department

The Brick Twp. Police Department announced this week that they have a drone for the police department and specialists will be flying it.

The drone will help with a number of things from search and rescue, to traffic problems, and for things on the ground that might not be seen as easily as if there were eyes in the sky.  According to the Berkeley Patch - the drone will only be used when authorized by Police Chief James Riccio and they will follow rules for drones issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Personally I think it's a great idea!
