Always exciting when we get a brand new pub here at the Jersey Shore. Hopefully, this one will be all set to go for the summer of 2025. This new addition is coming to Wildwood!

According to nj.com, this new pub has roots in Philadelphia. "The Rook, a pub in Manyunk, plans to open a second location in Wildwood at the site of the former Goodnight Irene's in time for the 2025 season."

As you can see from their post, they plan to have a "Jersey Shore" twist with this new pub. A Philly-style menu and signature cocktails too.

The location for the new pub will be on the site of the former Goodnight Irene's which recently closed. "Goodnight Irene’s closed on Nov. 17, 2024 after 17 years in business at the corner of Pacific and East Poplar avenues."

Pubs are always a cool place to explore. Whether you are into sampling their drink menu or maybe trying their food you can usually count on some unique and original items on a pub menu. Pubs also usually have a unique decore that has its own distinct flare. Basically, I'm saying I like the uniqueness of most good pubs.

According to NJ.com "the owners are aiming for a May 1 opening."

Definitely will take a trip to Wildwood to try out this new establishment this spring or summer. If you have visited The Rook in Manyunk let us know what you thought and post your comments in the comment section. We always enjoy getting your feedback.
