Ex-Con Charged with Toms River House Burglary

A suspect charged with looting a Toms River home earlier this month had just finished serving time for burglary, according to township police.

Christopher Wayda, 39, who lives in Toms River was arrested October 13 for the break-in on Audobon Avenue in which jewelry was ransacked.

Officers found crack cocaine on Wayda when they apprehended him, police said. He is charged with burglary, theft and drug possession.

Wayda was placed in the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $60,000.
