Police said the suspect remains at large after fleeing with cash. The incident was reported at about 8:40 PM.

The suspect rang the doorbell, then forced himself inside, grabbing the daughter by the arms and dragging her deeper into the house.

When her 102-year-old mother tried to activate her Lifeline pendant, the intruder pushed her to the floor and snapped the pendant from her neck, police said.

After demanding, and getting, money, he ran south on Dock Street, authorities said.

The suspect is described as thin, in his 30s, about 5'8" tall, clad in a black knit hat, jeans and a waist-length coat.

Detective Lou Santora is heading the investigation. He can accept confidential tips at 732-349-0150, extension 1276.
