TRENTON — The family of a woman whose body was found in a garbage bag told a local newspaper she had a drug problem and had been involved with some bad people, new reports say.

While the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office is still investigating the death of Lillian Duran, a report in the Trentonian said the woman's family believed she owed money to drug dealers. According to the story, Duran developed an addiction to prescription drugs after losing her job as a teacher's aide, which eventually developed into the usage of crack cocaine.

The Trentonian article also debunked a rumor that had been spreading around the city that Duran's body had been found dismembered in the bag. Casey DeBlasio, a spokesperson for the Prosecutor's Office, told The Trentonian that rumors of her being dismembered were "not true."
