According to officials, a 90-year-old woman was attacked by a black bear while she was shopping at a dollar store in Sussex County. Yes, a 175-pound black bear found its way into a dollar store and began making its way up and down the aisles.
Imagine looking for garbage bags and seeing a bear, yes, a black bear making its way towards you! What do you do? Throw a bag of no-name candy its way? Not sure.

According to Patch, "On Tuesday, around 3:30 p.m., Vernon police received a call from the owner of Mountain Dispensary, on Route 94, that a 175-pound black bear had attacked his dog and chased two of his employees. Moments later, an employee from the business next door, Dollar General, called Vernon police, saying that the bear had wandered into the dollar store."
Woman Injured In Dollar Store Bear Attack
Officials say the 90-year-old woman suffered a leg injury when the bear bit her leg. The woman will be ok after receiving "minor injuries" when taken to a local hospital. The dog was taken to a local vet.
The bear was euthanized, according to Vernon Police.
