Connecticut Police along with the US Marshals are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they believe to be connected with the murder of a jewelry store owner on December 8th in Westport, Connecticut.

According to a release sent out by Westport Police and US Marshals, the suspect is described as a whitemale, 5’10” to 6’0” tall, medium build, age in the mid-40s, with short “salt and pepper” colored hair. He had 3-4 days facial hair growth at the time of the crime.  He was wearing dark wool driving cap, black framed glasses, jeans, and cowboy style boots with a zippered front.

On the night of Thursday, December 8, 2011 he was wearing a blue or blue-green jacket with darker colored sleeves and shoulders and a light-colored horizontal stripe around the waist. During the day of Wednesday, December 7, 2011 he was wearing a solid green color quilted jacket and carried a green umbrella.

On December 7, 2011 he was seen driving a blue 4-door vehicle, described as “boxy”, possibly a Scion or Nissan Cube-type vehicle with no front plate.

The Westport Police Department is asking anyone that may have seen this individual in the Town of Westport or elsewhere to call the Westport Police Department Detective Bureau at 203-341-6080. All calls will be kept confidential.
