It has been a fantastic holiday season and we once again had some great songs with Ocean County High School choruses. Each year we host a Christmas sing-off and again it was some awesome local talent, these young folks can sing!

We love our Christmas Chorus Contest because it's a chance to shine a light on our local schools and their music programs. To let the kids get the spotlight and share their talents and beautiful Christmas music for everyone to enjoy this holiday season.

This Year we had four fantastic examples of very good music programs here in Ocean County. We have Phil Martin and the Toms River High School South Chorus. Beth Moore and the Central Regional High School Chorus, Michael Olender and the Lacey Township High School Chorus, and Rebecca Young and the Jackson Liberty Chorus.

"When we remember a special Christmas, it is not the presents that made it special, but the laughter, the feeling of love, and the togetherness of friends and family that made that Christmas special" ~ Catherine Pulsifer

Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for their favorite chorus and show support for the teachers, schools, and kids. The voting was so close between all four schools. The first and second-place schools were only separated by 16 votes.

Our winner this year is the Golden Eagles of Central Regional High School, led by music director Ms. Beth Moore. Congratulations to the Golden Eagles and thanks to their supporters as they bring the Tinsel Trophy back to Central Regional.
