Was your internet, TV or other service rocky this morning -- sometimes working, sometimes not or intermittently?

An outage that spread across New Jersey and nationwide in spots threw customers for a loop as the search for answers continues Tuesday afternoon.

In Ocean County, Patch reported widespread outages to TV, phone and internet service citing the Ocean County Sheriff's Office alert on Tuesday morning.

Then CBS-3 Philly reported the issue was continuing to spread outside the Garden State, to Delaware and Pennsylvania as well, but with mystery all over as to what caused the outages beginning around 8:00 am.

Back here in New Jersey, the issues have reportedly come back under control.

A Comcast Spokesperson tells Townsquare Media News on Tuesday afternoon that, "earlier, some customers experienced intermittent service disruptions as a result of a network issue. We have addressed the issue and service is now restoring for impacted customers, as we continue to investigate the root cause. We apologize to those who were affected.”

This is a developing story.

Generally speaking, if you have an issue with your service you can report it to Comcast-Xfinity through their online portal.
