Clean Ocean Action, the Rumson Environmental Commission, Metrovation and Rally for the Navesink Alliance members are set to host the 2nd Annual Rally for the Rivers Eco-Fest, an Environmental Celebration of the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers on World Oceans Day which is Saturday June 8.

It all takes place at Victory Park in Rumson from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm.

Anyone who attends this free event will enjoy hands-on educational activities, kid’s crafts, face painting, river seining, stand-up paddleboard yoga, learn to row, ask a master gardener and more.

“Last year’s inaugural Eco-Fest was a great success, and we’re excited to see that the event has grown in its second year," Alison McCarthy, Coastal Watershed Protection Coordinator, Clean Ocean Action. "With even more organizations involved this year, we’re sure it’s going to be a fun-filled day celebrating our beautiful rivers, with something for everyone!”

Children will be able to dive into the fun by getting their Environmental Passport stamped after visiting various activity stations throughout the park.

Once an Environmental Passport is complete, it is eligible for kids to redeem for Passport Rewards, which can be redeemed for small rewards to participating local businesses.
