Child Chased in Point Pleasant

Point Pleasant Police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly chased a girl down the street while she was riding her bike Friday morning.

The department's Facebook page says the man was reportedly parked in the lot at Community Park on Bridge Avenue when the 14-year-old passed by around 11am. She says he got out of his vehicle and chased her on foot for about 75 yards before giving up the chase. She was able to ride away and report the incident.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40's, driving a white van. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Point Pleasant Police Department at 732-892-0060. Those who wish to remain anonymous should ask for the TIPS line.
