Attention shoppers! Ensure your safety by checking expiration dates. Oh boy, another recall. Lately we've had lots of recalls.

The food and drug administration (FDA) has issued a recall on broccoli that can make you ill or worse due to potential Listeria contamination. For complete product information on this recall, click here from the FDA.

This broccoli from a California-based manufacturer was sold at Walmart stores in twenty states.

Thanks to nj.com the important numbers on the bags are: "The recalled broccoli has a UPC code of 6 81131 32884 5 on the back of the bag while the front of the bag has the expiration date and Lot Code: BFFG327A6."

The broccolli bags had a best used by date of December 10th, 2024. Yes that was several months ago but the FDA are encouraging any customers that might have stored the broccoli to throw it out. Please check your dates on these vegetables.

If you're anything like our family we love the vegetables that have been cleaned and ready to eat. A lot of these kinds of bags of produce we check and double check the numbers. They're easy and ready to eat. I always check on the dates, but never think of a possible contamination. It's very scary.

Just always remember to check the dates and if you're every wondering about local and national recalls, the FDA always keeps us up to date on the recalls through their website.
