According to AAA, the national average for regular gas has jumped to $3.79 a gallon, the highest we’ve seen since October 2023. Just a few weeks ago, before tensions escalated overseas, prices were sitting closer to $2.98. That’s a pretty big jump in a short amount of time.

The increase is being linked to the ongoing conflict involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran, which is impacting global oil supply and making everything more expensive here at home. Unfortunately, when oil prices rise, we feel it almost immediately at the pump.
