The People's Pantry of Ocean County celebrates their 7th anniversary and they're hoping you'll be a part of it.
The People's Pantry opened their doors right after SuperStorm Sandy. The Jersey Shore had been suffering from a massive food insecurity problem after the storm. As the need for storm recovery stabilized, The People's Pantry narrowed their mission to helping neighbors in need in their struggle with food insecurity and hunger. The need for their services continues to grow. Annually they serve in excess of 47,000 individuals, connect 6000 neighbors to various community and social services for additional help, but mostly give these spectacular people a safe place and a soft ear. The People's Pantry is a 100% volunteer organization, registering 12,000 volunteer hours annually. Your support is critical to keeping our mission alive and our services available.
