Celebrate a Summer St. Patrick’s Day with the Lakewood BlueClaws
Think all the way back to March (which feels like a short time ago and forever ago all at the same time).
One thing that comes to mind, is that St. Patrick's Day Celebrations were pretty much non-existent this year because the holiday was around the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Luckily, the Lakewood BlueClaws are giving us a redo with a Belated St. Patrick's Day and Irish Heritage Night Celebration. I first heard the news from Varacchi on our sister station 105.7 the Hawk.
The event will take place next Thursday, July 30th, starting at 7 pm. It looks like the BlueClaws have a lot of fun planned, like a live performance from The Snakes, a golf driving range, and food for purchase that includes Irish favorites. The BlueClaws shared that tickets are $20 and include admission, a food package (includes Bangers and Mash), and a merchandise package (includes a BlueClaws cap and lapel pin). Tickets are only available for purchase online, and there are only 450 available - click here for more information.
The BlueClaws are taking lots of precautions to follow social distancing and keep everyone safe during the event. Like I mentioned above, only 250 tickets will be available for purchase. Masks must be worn at all times except when attendees are at their own tables and are sitting with members of their parties, restrooms will operate at reduced capacity and will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the night, and the Claws Cove will operate at a reduced capacity. Read more about safety precautions and get more details here.
I think this is a fun way to "make up" on some missed fun. It'll be a nice way to get the family out of the house for a little. And, we won't have to worry about the chance of cold weather or even snow ruining this St. Patrick's Day Celebration, since it's July.
