Whether we're aware of it or not, most of us are addicted to caffeine. But, according to a new book, that may not necessarily be a bad thing.

Author Murray Carpenter says, basically, as long as we know our individual limits, a daily dose of caffeine won't hurt you.

In fact, he says that in some cases it's a good thing. Commenting that caffeine definitely does help with, "...improving your alertness, your cognition, your athletic ability". So you shouldn't feel ashamed when you feel like you need that cup of coffee or an energy drink to get your day going.

One thing that he does say is bad though, caffeine and alcohol. Vodka and Red Bull may be a trendy drink, but he says that mixing the two is, "...not a great idea".

I openly admit that I take my daily caffeine kick, usually in the form of Diet Snapple or diet soda (which is a whole different debate that we can have). What about you, do you depend on a daily cup of coffee, tea, or some other form of caffeine? Comment below and let us know what your preferred method of caffeine delivery is!
