A Burlington County man is in a heap of trouble after allegedly being found in possession of child sexual abuse material which he would turn around and distribute over the internet.

The arrest of 19-year old Dawson Simons who resides on the 300 block of Seminole Trail came on Friday with an ensuing announcement from Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Pemberton Township Police Chief Jason Watters.

Simons has also been charged with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child with two counts coming via a Second Degree and one via a Third Degree offense.

He has been in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly since Friday pending an appearance in Superior Court.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office High Tech Crimes Unit and investigating officers executed a search warrant at Simons' residence on Friday where they seized multiple electronic devices that Detectives with the BCPO will be reviewing further to find the extent of the alleged lewd activity.

While arrested and charged here in January, the BCPO began an investigation -- later joined by U.S. Homeland Security out of the Cherry Hill office, Pemberton Police and Evesham Police -- back in September after getting a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Simons was allegedly using social medical as well as an online storage facility system to possess and then distribute the child porn.
