A Burlington County man who murdered a man and buried his body in the backyard of a home in Lumberton he shared with his father and brother in 2016 pleads guilty to first-degree Aggravated Manslaughter.

Under a deal with the Burlington County Prosecutors Office 26-year old Bryan Costello will be sentenced to 15-years in a state prison for killing 23-year old Justin Dubois in October of 2016.

In Superior Court, Costello admitted to beating Dubois with a baseball bat to death before burying his body in the backyard of the Spencer Court home with help from his 29-year old brother Christopher who was convicted last month on charges he admitted of Hindering Apprehension and Desecration of Human Remains.

A motive for the attack is unknown.

Bryan will be sentenced on June 1.

Christopher faces a retrial for Aggravated Manslaughter in July.

On October 31, 2016 investigators discovered that their missing persons case had become a murder.

They began looking into the case after a relative of Dubois reported him missing for 4-days.

An excavation of the backyard, that came after investigators obtained a search warrant, where Costello lived found the dead body.
