An investigation is underway at Rutgers University in New Brunswick after a burglary last weekend on the Douglass Campus.

The Rutgers University Police Department has released a trio of surveillance photos of the alleged suspect behind the Saturday afternoon burglary, which reportedly occurred around 12:45 pm on Nichol Avenue near George Street.

It's not known in which capacity, but, Rutgers Police said the victim is affiliated with the university and the victim reported to police that an unauthorized person was inside a school building/residence.

The suspect then left the residence before Rutgers Police arrived on the scene.

Police combed through surveillance footage of the area and saw the man enter the building through an unsecured access point and then leave the residence.

RUPD did not reveal what, if anything, was taken during the burglary.

The suspect police are looking for is described as a black male, about 5'6 has a shaved head, was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a wide black horizontal stripe across the chest and upper arms, red Nike brand sweatpants, and dark-colored sneakers with white soles.
