Brick Township condo raided in cocaine probe

Cocaine infiltrates Brick Township and draws investigators to the Evergreen Woods enclave, where they arrested a resident after a search of his condo.

Karon Reid, 27, is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, ssession with intent to distribute less than a half-ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia, and distributing, dispensing or possession within 500 feet of certain public property,

The raid at the Kitty Court dwelling took place at about 7:45 AM Wednesday, conducted by the Brick PD Drug Enforcement Unit and Special Emergency Response Team.

In addition to the drugs police said they seized $624, which they believe to be profits from selling the drug.

Police did not indicate developments that led them to obtain a search warrant.

Reid was placed in the Ocean Coiunty Jail in Toms River, in lieu of $80,000 full bail.
