Brick Police hand out gift-cards instead of tickets for Christmas

Doesn't it just make you smile seeing the community come together.

It's been a tough year to say the least with so much going on.

In Brick, Police were giving drivers pulled over for minor motor vehicle equipment violations, like a brake light that was out, a warning along with a gift card to get the issue fixed and some Christmas candy to sweeten up their day instead of issuing them a ticket.

Here is video released by Brick Police of their 'Blue Christmas' campaign where they went around helping drivers ahead of the big day.

Remember, Christmas is a season of hope, giving, love, laughter and a celebration of the goodness we hold in our hearts.
