Brick Police received a call around 7:30 pm on Tuesday night and three officers then responded to the ShopRite in the Kohl's Plaza for a report of upskirting.

What they learned on scene from a witness was that 62-year old Donald Sheridan was crouched to the floor and was allegedly holding his cell phone under the dress of a woman.

The witness, who saw and knew exactly what Sheridan was doing, confronted him, police said, yelling at him, "I know what you're doing."

That witness stayed right there with Sheridan and the victim asked store employees to call the police.

Officers conducted an on-scene investigation talking to everyone involved and then reviewed security camera footage of the reported incident.

Police said it's clear on camera that Sheridan was positioning himself to hold his cell phone under the woman's dress.

He was then arrested and charged with Invasion of Privacy.

Sheridan was then processed and was released on a Summons.

Quick reaction by the witness helped put the incident to an end and everyone else involved led to the arrest.

"The Brick Township Police commend this witness for getting involved and acknowledge that public safety is best served when the police and community work as a team."
