Breaking — Suspect Arrested For Shark River Park Murder

Police have arrested a 20-year-old Joseph C. Villani of Ocean Township in connection with the murder of 20-year-old Trupal Patel who was found dead by a Monmouth County Park Ranger in Shark River Park last Wednesday.

Villani was charged with First Degree Murder, First Degree Felony Murder, First Degree Robbery, Second Degree Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. If convicted of the murder of Patel, Villani faces a maximum of life in prison with a minimum of 30 years.

Despite the arrest, authorities say that the investigation into the murder is still underway at this time.

All the charges above are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
