The Jersey Shore BlueClaws Unveil New Alternate Uniforms

This is a great idea! The Jersey Shore BlueClaws have added another "alternate jersey" concept for the upcoming season. If there is one food that everyone knows, it's the famous "Jersey Tomato".

So having a team known as the Jersey Tomatoes is absolutely fantastic. It rolls off the tongue perfectly, and their logo is awesome. Who doesn't like a Jersey tomato? How many people grow them right in their backyard?

According to the team, to celebrate New Jersey’s strong farming roots, the Jersey Shore BlueClaws are teaming up with Jersey Fresh and turning into the “Jersey Tomatoes” for one night on Thursday, August 6th, and honestly, it’s a pretty fun Jersey-style twist. If you’re thinking about going, tickets for Jersey Tomatoes Night (and the merch, too) are already available.

"By bringing the Jersey Fresh message of quality and locally grown to thousands of fans throughout the season, we are putting a spotlight on the agricultural products and farm communities that make New Jersey a national leader in fresh produce, bringing the best of the Garden State to your home plate,” said New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Ed Wengryn.

This is the second alternate identity announced by the BlueClaws this year, following the Jersey Shore Pork Rollers, who will play on June 18^th.

“We are grateful to Secretary Wengryn and the Jersey Fresh team for their partnership on Jersey Tomatoes Night,” said BlueClaws General Manager Bob McLane. “We will be celebrating, of course, Jersey Tomatoes, but the agriculture industry at large for what is going to be a special night this August and all summer long!”
