It’s no secret one of my favorite holiday’s is St. Patrick’s Day. It’s a lot of things. It’s a way to celebrate Irish heritage. St. Patrick’s Day brings spring to our lives, it’s our unofficial kickoff to spring. The day is filled with delicious food and yes maybe a few adult beverages.

We have three fantastic St. Patrick’s Day parades. The Belmar parade this Sunday, March 6th. The Asbury Park parade on Tuesday, March 8th and the Ocean County parade in Seaside Heights on Saturday, March 12th. Look for 92.7 WOBM at both the Belmar and Seaside Heights parades this year.

As for the food, I love corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, soda bread, baked beans etc. All the things you love for a nice St. Patrick’s Day dinner. Some of you, like myself cook your own, others prefer to find a great place to either pick up or go to for St. Patrick’s Day. I cook for my family every St. Patrick’s Day with all the trimmings. It’s my green thanksgiving lol. Yes I even have John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara on in the background because you can’t make good corned beef without the Quiet Man playing.
