Aldi Plans To Open 800 New Locations

At a time when we see so many business closings, it's exciting to see businesses announcing they are beginning to grow and open locations around the nation and right here in New Jersey.

One such company announcing it will grow is the supermarket chain Aldi. Our family shops at Aldi and we enjoy their different selection of foods and their prices. They usually have unique items we won't find in other stores. We usually combine a trip to Aldi along with a trip to other supermarkets to get our weekly shopping done.

According to a new article by Men's Journal, "Aldi has announced its plans to grow in 2025 and beyond. In February, the chain announced that it would open 225 new stores in 2025, and that's not all. The 2025 openings are part of a five-year growth schedule to add 800 stores by the end of 2028."

Hopefully, this announcement will mean several, if not more, locations to open here in New Jersey. According to Aldi, "Aldi operates 64 stores in New Jersey. Aldi stores in New Jersey can be found on their website."

Men's Journal Added, "As for the growth in 2025, the 225 stores that Aldi is opening this year will mark "the most stores Aldi will open in one year in its nearly 50-year U.S. history."
