Beachwood Fireworks Turns 76 – What Else Turns 76 This Year?
This year on Monday July 4th, 2016, fantastic fireworks can be seen along the Toms River...Shawn and I are at Beachwood Beach starting at 5 with all of the festivities for a wonderful time in Ocean County! It's the 76th Anniversary of the fireworks starting at dusk.
See what else turns 76 this year!
1. Dairy Queen served its first cone on June 22, 1940 in Joliet, Illinois.
2. York Peppermint Pattie was first introduced in 1940. YUM!
3. What's Up Doc? Bugs Bunny made his first screen debut on July 27, 1940 in 'A Wild Hare.'
4. Color Television was introduced in 1940 at the World's Fair in New York City.
5. Colonel Sanders finalized the Original Kentucky Fried Chicken recipe in 1940.
6. 76 years ago M&M's, the candy that "melts in your mouth but not in your hand," was introduced. Now there's so many different kinds. My favorite are peanut!
7. Morton Salt has been adding a little extra flavor since 1940.
8. Woody Woodpecker hit the screen in 76 years ago with his first cartoon 'Knock Knock."
