Officers then secured a perimeter around the residence and requested the Ocean County Regional SWAT team to respond.
After a brief stand off, SWAT officers and the Plumsted Police Patrol and K-9 unit were able to successfully bring the suspect into custody.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was then processed, and charged with multiple undisclosed offenses before being placed in the Ocean County Jail.
Due to the nature of the call Plumsted Police say they will not be releasing anymore information due to privacy laws that are currently in place that prohibit the release of any identifying information of victims or suspects.
The Jackson Police Department served as backup in the barricade situation by providing additional back up officers during the incident.
